“I guess @DaBabyDaBaby and @torylanez cool now bc the[y] shot somebody and don’t have to do no jail time,” the fan’s tweet read.
While the retweet was up long enough to get tons of reactions on Twitter, DaBaby claimed that he wasn’t the one who retweeted it as he blamed Twitter for the alleged mistake. “
Idk what type of Illuminati sh*t Twitter got goin onFace with tears of joy… I ain’t retweet nothing but “Ball If I Want To” promo,” he wrote. “I ain’t retweet that silly sh*t. Then once ppl start tagging me & I saw it and tried to delete it and undo the retweet Twitter didn’t let me.Thinking face Type sh*t yall on?”
As Twitter exploded with fans on both sides sharing their opinions on the situation, Megan weighed in herself, tweeting, “Support me in private and publicly do something different … these industry men are very strange. This situation ain’t no damn ‘beef’ and I really wish people would stop down playing it like it’s some internet sh*t for likes and retweets.” She added, “Justice is slow … as we’ve all seen…back to my good day.”
While Megan didn’t call DaBaby out by name, he replied directly to her tweet, writing, “You done let these folks get the best of you thug. ion got no bad energy for ya. You know like I know I ain’t no ‘industry’ ni**a , let em fool you into thinking that you trippin. Stand on what you stand on without feeling like I’m against ya. Stay focused my g???.”
Meg then responded, “My stance hasn’t changed at all YOURS has. We already spoke abt this in private and you specifically said ‘that ain’t even no good business move why would I promote that sh*t’ but now this ain’t your ‘beef’ ? That ain’t real. But you stay on ya ‘business’ my g.”
The back and forth continued as DaBaby went on to tweet, “Ion even go back n forth w/ my own b*tches on the net now I’m on dis mf goin back n forth w/ another ni**a woman about some sh*t another ni**a accused of . How tf dat work? Y’all ni**as hell Happy Juneteenth tho, we started this b*tch off wit a bang didn’t it ? Luv u Meg.”
A short time later, Meg’s boyfriend Pardison Fontaine hoped in to defend her, telling DaBaby, “You a clown a** ni**a doin doin clown a** sh*t then tryin to back pedal .. ni**a that’s what it is .. u don’t ever gotta address her again.”
DaBaby however laughed off Pardison’s tweets, writing “You must not know bout mee You must not know bout meeeeeh” alongside crying laughing emojis.
Word On The Curb Tory is going to plea out negligent discharge of a firearm. A misdemeanor, not jail time, Just community service.”
This plea should put an end to a very MESSY situation, were Meghan claims that Tory allegedly shot her in the foot.
California law imposes harsh penalties for negligently firing a gun – and technically, it could be charged as either a misdemeanor or a felony.
But in Tory’s case, it will be charged as a misdemeanor, PC 246.3 negligent discharge carries a maximum county jail sentence of one (1) year. Charged as a felony, it can lead to sixteen (16) months, two (2) years or three (3) years in county jail.
Tory’s plea deal, however, appears to have zero jail time attached to it.
Megan Thee Stallion recently sounded off about Tory Lanez allegedly shooting her, and now he wants to level the playing field, and speak his mind.
A judge had ordered Lanez to keep his lips sealed about info he gets from prosecutors in his case, and also barred him from contacting Meg on social media — but in a new court filing he says that’s totally unfair.
In the docs, Lanez says it’s unfair Megan is ableto say whatever she wants … while he is basically prevented from defending himself.
Lanez says he is particularly miffed about what went down last week, when erroneous reports began circulating that the charges against Tory were dropped.
Megan responded on social media, saying … “AT THIS POINT IM GETTING ANNOYED! STOP BELIEVING EVERYTHING YOU READ ON THE MF INTERNET. Imagine how I feel waking every day seeing people LIE and turn my trauma into a joke? That whole team figures out ways to create doubt with my story every week and the media eats it up.”
According to Lanez … Megan falsely insinuated he and his legal team had something to do with the bogus reports, therefore maligning their integrity.
Megan also commented, “I can’t wait until the MF FACTS come out! Bitch you shot me AND MY STORY NOT CHANGING AND BITCH YOU GOING TO JAIL.”
According to the docs, Lanez claims there’s evidence refuting Megan’s side of the story — including “evidence of gunshot residue implicating others” — but because of the protective order … he’s not able to disclose any of it.
Tory’s also worried about optics — in the docs he worries his silence might make it look like he’s conceding what Megan says is true. So, he’s asking the judge to modify the gag order against him.
Megan has remained steadfast that Tory shot her in July after they left a party. Though Lanez initially seemed to issue a public apology in September by saying, “I was too drunk” … he later denied it.
Word On The Curb…Social media was gunning for rapper DaBaby after Tory Lanez announced that he had a collab on the way with him on Tuesday.
“@dababy X TORY LANEZ ……… SONG + VISUALS ON THE WAY ….. #2021Umbrella ….drop a ☂️ in the comments if you ready for this !,” Tory captioned a post on Instagram.
The pic shows Tory, who’s holding a bible, and DaBaby leaning over a bed. On the bed sits a woman wearing a blonde curly wig and a long white T-shirt. DaBaby holds a gold aspergillum filled with holy water — invoking a scene from The Exorcist movie.
Twitter was in an uproar, and Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby have worked together several times and are considered to be good friends. Of course, Tory, was accused by Megan of shooting her in both feet back in July — so a collab with DaBaby would seem like a betrayal.
DaBaby remained silent. Megan hopped on Twitter to clear up the drama:
“That sh*t was old and not cleared. CRYBABY VIDEO dropping soon,” she tweeted in response to an angry fan
Rapper Megan Thee Stallion is trending online after she used a song from her album to take aim at her former boyfriend, Tory Lanez.
“Imagine n*ggas lyin’ ’bout shootin’ a real bitch (Huh?)/Just to save face for rapper n*ggas you chill with/Imagine me givin’ a f*ck it was your f* ckin’ birthday (F*ck you)/You in your feelings, I just thought it was another Thursday,” she raps on “Shots Fired.”
The song uses Biggie Smalls’ classic “Who Shot Ya” beat.
She also doubles down on the claims she made in her recent GQ interview, where she claimed that Lanez tried to pay her to keep quiet after he allegedly shot her.
“You offered M’s not to talk, I guess that made my friend excited, hmm/Now y’all in cahoots, huh (Okay), you a puss in boots/You shot a 5’10” bitch with a .22/Talkin’ ’bout bones and tendons like them bullets wasn’t pellets/A p*ssy n*gga with a p*ssy gun in his feelings/OK, he in the backseat and he keep callin’ me a bitch (He a bitch).”
Tory’s attorney, Shawn Holley, appeared on his behalf Wednesday in L.A. County court to enter the plea in the case. Tory’s yet to go to court himself — his last appearance was over the phone.
As we’ve reported … the L.A. County D.A.’s Office hit him with 1 count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and 1 count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The D.A. also alleges TL inflicted great bodily injury on MTS.
The rapper/singer faces up to 22 years and 8 months in prison, if convicted.
There’s already been tons of drama surrounding the case … with Megan claiming in a recent interview that Tory offered her money in exchange for her silence after he allegedly shot her in the foot. Tory’s attorney has denied the accusation.
The friendship sounds like news to Meg … she says Tory is “genuinely crazy.”
It’s not like they can hang out as friends anymore anyways … Tory was ordered to stay the hell away from MTS after a hearing on his felony assault charge in connection with the shooting.
Tory’s now calling the shooting a “debacle” and says the only people who really know what happened are him and Meg. Seems he’s forgetting Meg’s friend and his chauffeur were also there when a gun went off during an argument.
Tory says he’s not talking down to Meg or disrespecting her, but says he’s tired of his name and character being assassinated for something he “did not do.”
Tory Lanez attended court by phone on Tuesday to face charges over the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion — and was ordered by the judge to stay away from her.
Lanez was charged with assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. His arraignment was postponed until Nov. 18 and he did not enter a plea, according to the Associated Press.
The singer’s bail was set and posted at $190,000. Lanez will also be required to surrender all of his guns.
After the shooting, Megan remained quiet about the incident until a livestream where she named him as the person who shot her in both of her feet.
“Yes … Tory shot me. You shot me and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying,” she said via Instagram Live. “Stop lying. Why lie? I don’t understand.”
Lanez accused Megan’s team of trying to “frame” him for the shooting on his recent Daystar album.
