NFL Draft to be postponed until at least late May, won’t be held in Las Vegas, per report

The 2020 NFL Draft, scheduled to take place April 23-25 in Las Vegas, will be postponed until at least late May and moved to another city because of coronavirus concerns, according to a report Saturday night by Pro Football Weekly’s Hub Arkush.

As for the Draft, according to my sources, Las Vegas is already canceled – it just hasn’t been announced yet – and the league will announce the Draft is being postponed until late May at least – as soon as the NFLPA’s decision on the new CBA is announced.

The Las Vegas strip was expected to host the event for the first time ever, next to Bellagio Hotel and Casino. Last year’s draft was held in Nashville, Tennessee.

Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow of LSU is expected by many to be the No. 1 pick in the draft by the Cincinnati Bengals.

An announcement also is expected soon about whether the league will delay free agency
