Kenya Moore Admits She Doesn’t Have A Pre-Nup Post Split from Marc Daly. What’s Her Net Worth?
After struggling to find love and start a family, RHOA star Kenya Moore married restauranter, Marc Daly, in a private beachfront ceremony in 2017. The former beauty pageant queen did not allow Bravo cameras to film her wedding and opted to keep her family life out of the spotlight. Moore would eventually leave the show after season 10 focus on her pregnancy and marriage. She and Daly welcomed their “miracle baby,” a daughter they named Brooklyn, in November 2018.
Eager to show the world her new life, Moore returned to the show for season 12 but it may have come at a price. This past September, Moore, and Daly announced that they were separating. The road to the separation will be documented on the current season. The famous reality star shocked many by revealing she does not have a prenuptial agreement, leaving fans to wonder exactly how much she’s worth and what’s at risk if their divorce proceeds.
Just a few weeks before their daughter’s first birthday, Moore and Daly shocked fans when they released separate statements to People Magazine announcing they were going their separate ways.
It is with profound sadness that I regret to inform my fans that I am divorcing my husband Marc Daly,” Moore said. “Due to recent and ongoing circumstances, I can no longer continue in the marriage. My sole concern and focus is and will always be my daughter, Brooklyn, my miracle baby. She was made in love and true commitment. I ask for our privacy to be respected moving forward.”
Daly asked for privacy and promised that he and Moore would co-parent in the “most loving way.”
Prior to their split, there was no sign of trouble as they did a joint interview on the Tamron Hall Show just two days prior to the announcement. It was later alleged by blogger Love B. Scott that Daly led a secret life, having a previous marriage and children that Moore knew nothing of. Moore later refuted those rumors and admitted that their bi-coastal lifestyle, as well as troubles communicating, contributed to their separation.
Fans are still puzzled at what appears to be a sudden change with the Daly’s. For the past two years, Moore has praised Daly publicly, often crediting him with giving her the fairytale ending of marriage and family she’s desired most of her life. But as the previews of RHOA season 12 prove, all within the Daly’s household was not as peachy as it appeared.
After the premiere episode of season 12, Moore was interviewed by Bravo honcho, Andy Cohen, on his late-night talk show, Watch What Happens Live. When asked if she and Daly signed a prenup before their wedding, Moore said no. When asked why, Moore admitted that not only did she believe her marriage would last for an eternity, she also spoke to Cohen about her and Marc being well off prior to meeting one another.
“Listen, we’re both successful. I owned my home outright prior to marriage. For what I know, not being a lawyer, I think that’s protected. That’s my biggest asset. And you know, Marc’s successful. I just didn’t think that things would get to a point where he would come after money. And he hasn’t yet.”
Prior to becoming a reality television queen, Moore was known most for her work in beauty pageants and later modeling. The Detroit native was crowned the 1993 Miss USA winner, becoming only the second African-American woman to hold the title.
Moore branched out into modeling and acting following her win. She became synonymous with men’s magazine for her fit figure, appearing on the cover of magazines like Smooth. Moore also has several acting credits to her name with guest-starring roles in films like Waiting to Exhale and shows like Martin, Living Single and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Her production company, Moore Vision Media, was launched in 2008 and has produced the feature film The Confidant, as well as her own workout video, Kenya Moore Booty Bootcamp, which became an Amazon Best Seller.
Since her time on RHOA, Moore has expanded her brand. She started her own hair care line, Kenya Moore Haircare, to encourage healthy hair growth the natural way. Her products are now sold in Sally’s Beauty Supplies around the country.
