Kehlani Confirms Split With YG & Seemingly Disses Him In New Track

Kehlani has a few things to get off of her chest after calling it quits with her ex-boyfriend, YG. On Monday, February 17, the mother of one released a new track entitled “Valentine’s Day” in which she confirmed her breakup with the rapper.

On the Axel Folie and The Rascals-produced single, Kehlani, 24, called out the California native’s behavior. “I’d say your name but you don’t deserve recognition/ You played the hero but you really are the villain/ You called me crazy, but it was my intuition/ Used me for status and the fame and recognition,” the R&B singer crooned.

She continued, “Wish I didn’t check your text when you was drunk asleep / I’ve seen everything I didn’t want to see /  That I needed to see/ That I needed it to be / Hope you live happily ever after with the b***h

As fans might recall, this isn’t the first time that Kehlani and YG, 29, have hit a bump in the road. After going public with their relationship in September 2019, YG was caught kissing another woman one month later. At the time, YG issued a statement and reasoned that he was under the influence.

A few days before releasing her diss track, the former couple released a joint single entitled “Konclusions.” On the Allen Ritter, Boi-1da and Jahaan Sweet-produced track, the two gushed about their love for each other. When I say I love you (Love you) / That means I love you / No matter what conclusion we come to / I’m the one you run to,” Kehlani sang on the chorus
