Love & Hip Hop star Amara La Negra turned 29 years old this past weekend. And she wanted to give her fans a gift –pics of Amara in her birthday suit!!
Amara has been known to thirst trap on social media in the past. The beautiful Afro-Latina frequently posts explicit pics of herself online.
But this weekend, it was a little different. These weren’t scandalous selfies. Amara was chosen to be the covergirl for the October issue of Luxe Curves magazine.
Amara La Negra, real name, Dana Danelys De Los Santos, is a Dominican American musician and multi-talented artist. She is best known by American viewers for being on Love and Hip Hop: Miami.
Amara joined the cast of Love & Hip Hop: Miami in January 2018. After years of being a part of the Latin American music circuit and her participation in several music projects, the Love and Hip Hop franchise took notice of Amara La Negra. She joined the cast along with Trina, Trick Daddy, Gunplay, and several others.
Since her participation on the show, she has help to shed light on colorism within the Latin community and on “blackness” within Latin culture. Amara is also considered a pioneer amongst her Afro-Latina celebrity counterparts in that she affirmatively embraces blackness.
“I’ve been discriminated against so many times, and that’s why I’ve decided to be an activist,” Amara La Negra told HuffPost U.S. “I want to say the day that I die, my life mattered.” She’s become outspoken about her experiences in the entertainment industry as an Afro-Latina and about overcoming the prejudice she faces for having dark skin.
