Howard Stern Slams Simon Cowell For ‘Orchestrating’ Gabrielle Union’s Firing

Talk show host Howard Stern has called America’s Got Talent chief Simon Cowell for “orchestrating” the “release” of actress Gabrielle Union.

Stern joins the growing list of celebrities speaking out to defend Union, who was fired after she made a complaint to producers about an offensive joke that Jay Leno made regarding Asian people as well as the misgendering of several contestants. Producers also complained that Union’s hairstyles were “too black.”

He sets it up that the men stay,” Stern said on his SiriusXM show. “No matter how ugly [the men] are, no matter how old they are, no matter how fat they are, no matter how talentless they are.”

“What he manages to do on all his shows is he constantly replaces the hot chicks with hotter chicks and younger chicks. Howie’s (Mandel) doing a fine, serviceable job — why don’t they change him? And why don’t they change Simon? … This is the ultimate example of a boys’ club.”
