He’s Legendary Corny’: 50 Cent Clowns Nick Cannon and His Rapping Skills

The feud began when the “8 Mile” rapper dissed Cannon on Fat Joe’s recently released cut “Lord Above.”

After that, the “Wild’n Out” host responded on his Suge Knight-assisted song “The Invitation.” Then he dropped another Eminem diss track titled “Pray For Him.”

Cannon also released yet another song called “Used to Look Up to You,” which many thought was about Em, based on the social media responses. But during an interview with VladTV, Cannon said it was about 50.

At the 27:03 part of the interview, “The Breakfast Club” co-host DJ Envy asked 50 if he told Eminem not to respond to Cannon, since 50 and Em are friends.

“I did,” said the actor and lyricist. “I was like, ain’t nothing there, ’cause Em, he’ll get hype and go ‘What?’ Like you challenging him in that way, ‘cause he comes from that format, the battle format. They actually put him in a space where he’s the most comfortable when they attack him.”

Fif then talked about Cannon’s song “Used to Look Up to You.”

“I would never respond to that,” said the New York native. “He’s legendary corny. He’s been corny forever, from the very beginning. I thought at one point, he was heading somewhere that was like in the Will Smith-ish [category], ’cause it was comedy stuff, and then it just never got to its destination. It just never got cool.”

50 talked about Cannon’s rapping skills too.

“You suck, bro,” he said. “I’ma just tell you the truth. There’s never a moment when you said something and we was like, ‘Ooh, bars.’”

But the “Many Men” rapper complimented Cannon’s acting skills in “Drumline” and said if Cannon did a good job in an audition he’d cast him in one of the “Power”spinoffs.

Based on the comments left after the interview was published, it was clear that many got a kick out of 50 talking about Cannon.

He said he will never respond to Nick Cannon Lol, says he legendary Corny ???,” someone wrote on YouTube.

“I’ve never heard anything from nick cannon that made me say oooooh bars”????,” another person quoted.

“I can listen to a 50 cent interview for hours,” a third person wrote.
