Fans React to Safaree Samuels Backtracking About ‘Leaving’ the Industry
Safaree Samuels is having quite an eventful week.
The “Love and Hip Hop: New York” actor took social media users by surprise on Tuesday, after he claimed he was leaving the “industry” for good.
“After the birth of my daughter I’ve decided I’m leaving the industry I hope I made the parasites happy. God bless✌? STRAITT OUT,” he tweeted on Feb. 4.
Samuels left folks confused as to which industry he was tweeting about — the entertainment or music industry. After a few perplexed faces and a boatload of confusion, the “Hunnid” rapper doubled down on remarks nearly 15 minutes later and wrote on Twitter, “It’s funny I can say anything and the parasites believe it…. I ain’t going nowhere….. Go suckkkkk ya maddaaaaaaa.”
Social media users had mixed reactions to his remarks.

Samuels’ Twitter rant came just hours after his wife Erica Mena gave birth to their newborn daughter.
He tweeted yesterday morning, “My daughter is sooooooooo beautiful OMGGGGGGG WOWWWWWWW.”
Samuels also posted a picture of the newborn grabbing his finger. He added in his caption, “These past 24 hrs have been an adventure to say the least!! I’m a part of the #girldad club now ??. Perfection is here ❤️ #safaree.”
Mena shared a separate post of Samuels and their baby girl. She wrote, “Just here staring at my husband as he obsesses over our daughter ♥️??? I thank God. I prayed for this life.
The couple’s daughter is their first child together. Mena has a 12-year-old son from a previous relationship.
Fans have jumped in to congratulate him on fatherhood, making for a bit of attention away from his latest social media outburst.
