Cryrese Gibson And Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Finally End ‘Fast’Feud..

Fast & Furious” franchise stars Tyrese Gibson And Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had been embattled in a bitter feud for quite sometime. It had even got so contentious that Ty had a social media meltdown full of jabs and shade aimed at The Rock. Thankfully though, the two actors have now put the pain of the past behind them and look forward to more ‘Fast’ films in the future.

In an interview on “Stir Crazy with Josh Horowitz”, Tyrese revealed that he and Johnson “peaced up … about 3 weeks ago.” And when pressed about whether he’d be doing this own spin-off, like The Rock, he made sure to reiterate the stance he’s always held — the “Fast & Furious” is about the whole cast, not just one individual. This notion is what catapulted his beef with Dwayne in the first place — he truly believed the former wrestler was being selfish when he decided to do “Hobbs & Shaw.”

The breakdown between the duo began after disappointing box offices numbers for “The Fate of the Furious.” The eighth installment of the franchise came in slightly below expectations and that gave way for the studio to put a pause on “Fast and Furious 9” and put their efforts behind the “Hobbs & Shaw” spinoff starring The Rock and Jason Statham. This also meant that the majority of the franchise cast would be going without a paycheck until “Fast 9” came to fruition.

That news sent Tyrese over the edge. He hopped on IG and proclaimed that Johnson was just out for self and that he pitched the idea of a spinoff behind the cast’s back. That time in Tyrese’s life was also filled with high emotions over his daughter and various other issues that resulted in multiple meltdowns and fits of tears. Soon after, Gibson claimed the whole ordeal was due to medication he was taking.

Thankfully, things are much better for Tyrese and now, three years after that feud, we’re finally on the precipice of Fast 9, set for a US release on May 28, 2021.
