Bobby Brown Wants Someone ‘Held Responsible’ For Fentanyl That Killed Son

The death of Bobby Brown Jr. has yet to find closure.

On Tuesday (March 23), his parents, Bobby Brown Sr. and Kim Ward, declared that they want those responsible for his accidental death held responsible. Prosecutors said that they are considering criminal charges in the death of the 28-year-old, who passed away on November 18, 3030 from the combined effects of cocaine, alcohol and the opioid fentanyl. In a statement via The Associated Press, Bobby Brown Sr. made note of the the fatal dose of fentanyl in his system. “My family continues to mourn my son’s death,” he said in the statement. “This epidemic is out of control and those supplying this lethal drug should be held responsible for the death and destruction that it causes.”

Meanwhile, Ward said, “My son is gone and those who contributed to his senseless death should be held accountable.” Los Angeles County district attorney’s spokesman Greg Risling revealed that authorities have presented prosecutors with the case and it is under review for possible charges.

In the autopsy report, which was released on Monday, police indicated that Brown Jr. had consumed tequila, cocaine and what he believed was oxycodone. His girlfriend found him unconscious on the bedroom floor in his Los Angeles residence hours later. Brown Jr. was experiencing flu-like symptoms prior to his death. However, he had not tested positive for COVID-19.

Brown Jr.’s death arrived five years after the passing of Bobby’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, who passed away in July 2015 from irreversible brain damaged. She spent six months in a coma after she was found unconscious in a bathtub. She was 22. She died in a similar manner to his late ex-wife Whitney Houston, who passed by accidental drowning at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. Coronary artery disease and cocaine intoxication were listed as the contributing factors.
